No absolute boundary between organic compounds and inorganic compounds. Became an independent discipline in Chemistry organic chemistry, because organic compounds do have internal links and features.

At the carbon of the periodic table of elements, typically through the atoms share electrons with other elements and achieve a stable electron configuration. This combination of Covalent bonds determine the properties of organic compounds. Most of the organic compounds made up of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen elements, a few also contain halogens and sulfur, phosphorus and other elements. Thus most of the organic compounds with low melting point, combustion, soluble in organic solvents and other chemical properties, and properties of inorganic compounds are very different.

Organic compounds containing more than one carbon atom molecule, skeletons of carbon atoms combine to form molecules, the atoms of other elements connected to the skeleton. In the periodic table of elements, no other elements like carbon, firmly with each other in many ways. Molecular skeleton formed by carbon atoms come in many forms, and have straight chains, branched chains, rings, etc.
